How to own a blog and why you should own one

Without further Ado…

I present to you The good ole system crash and I know that you are probably quite familiar with it whether is happens on the job, at home, your business and in this case…YOUR BLOG.

Hopefully I don’t get too long winded but I want to share with you how to own a blog and why you should own one. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I decided to open this post with a pic…Kinda cool Huh?

So let’s talk about that for a minute. First and Foremost, I hope that you understand that there is no guarantee that problems will not show up, but when blogging or building online business, it’s essential to have your own space on the internet so that you can effectively Brand Yourself and Have Control over your Content and Keep Your Content in the event something crashes.

When I first joined a direct selling business years back, I bought the marketing systems, the replicated websites and all of the tools the company had to offer with out ever even thinking about a blog. The problem was that so did everyone else and only the big boys that created the systems made money. There was a company I invested $997 dollars in only for them to go out of business because the owners got into a fight. When that company went down so did all my work with that company.

Fast forward a few years and I now blog more than anything else, outside of God, Family and Music of course. I also learned alot over the years and found out that there was something in common with almost all of the people online that were successful. It was something that they were doing that I wasn’t for sure.

I thought they had a Big Secret. Technically it was a secret..a secret in plain site. I saw it every time I bought something and never realized the secret.

I’m going to spill the beans now though…Are you Ready?

Well, you are looking at it right now just as I was back then.

The Secret is A Blog that I own. Each and every time I read something that inspired me to purchase the new whatever, It was from their personal blog. I have bought books, systems, tools, you name it but I bought them all from people who I found interesting or inspiring, people that I began to trust then I gave freely… I later learned that this was Attraction Marketing

And that my Friends is Why You Should Own your Own Blog. A blog can serve as your central hub for anything you want.

Enough with Why you should own one. What you need to Know is How To own a Blog. I’m going to spare the details on how to set one up but just in case you are not familiar with setting up a blog. How to own a Blog is actually pretty Easy, You simply need a Hosting Account. A Hosting account is basically your actual property on the internet and you can decorate it how so ever you choose. You basically pay rent..or a monthly fee. Now since we are on the topic of blogs, I personally recommend Host Gator for your hosting because they are very blog friendly and if you use a word press blog which is free it’s a match made in Internet Heaven.

I highly recommend you check out Jordan’s Training for setting up a blog. He also goes into details on how to set up your blog with your New Hosting account. Owning your own Blog should be high on your list if you want to have complete Branding and content control. It will take a little time and effort to get things completely the way you like them but it’s well worth the work.

You can use blogs from your personal blog to re-post on other blogs as a guest and even turn your blogs into articles.( I highly recommend that you Own your Own Blog).

No matter what, if you want a presence online and a way to sell (which is by the way the only way to make big money) Then Owning your own Blog is the way to Go…

No matter what you promote or sell..or talk about, it’s totally in your control.
